Emergent Languages: Game Design for Communication with Artificial Agents

The University of Tokyo. Research on AI empathy in the RCA-IIS (now DLX) Design Lab with Miles Pennington, and in Jason G. Karlin’s lab for the philosophical side. It argues that game design must embrace AI as a co-creative force, and introduces neuro game design, new design patterns, and Project Trevor, a virtual pet that learns empathy from bio-signals.
